Erling Haaland has made Premier League history by becoming the quickest player ever to score 100 goals, doing so in just 111 games.

The Norwegian reached the historic landmark on Tuesday night during Manchester City’s 5-4 win at Fulham.

Haaland scored the opening goal on 17 minutes when he blasted in a first-time finish from Jeremy Doku’s cross.

It meant he reached the century in 111 league games, 13 fewer than it took previous record holder Alan Shearer.

The goal also ended a mini drought for Haaland, having gone three consecutive games without scoring, to take his tally to 15 Premier League goals in 14 matches this season.

Erling Haaland ‘really proud’ of Premier League record

‘It’s huge and I’m really proud,’ Haaland told Sky Sports after the win at Craven Cottage where he achieved his goalscoring feat. ‘It’s a massive thing, the 100 club is a nice thing to be in and I’m happy.

‘I knew about it, it’s what I tried to do. I try to help the team scoring goals, that’s my job.’
