Manchester City’s chances of a Quadruple are over following their loss to Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final, with the Blues going through to face Leicester in next month’s final.

Chelsea 1-0 Manchester City

Hakim Ziyech scored the only goal of the game as Thomas Tuchel’s side overcame City to make it to a second consecutive FA Cup final.

The biggest talking point of the match was the fate of Kevin De Bruyne, with the midfielder being substituted in the second half and manager Pep Guardiola admitting he picked up a bad injury.

Losing their best player in the final weeks of the season is a big blow for City, who still have a Carabao Cup final and Champions League semi-finals to play.

For Chelsea, it’s their fourth final in the last five years and the 15th in their history, with Tuchel also becoming the first German manager to ever reach the final.

They also have multiple focuses going into the final month of the season, also in the Champions League semi-finals and looking to force their way into the top four.

Following the win, the Blues will face Leicester at Wembley next month.

Leicester City 1-0 Southampton

The Foxes also won 1-0, beating Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton side as Kelechi Iheanacho scored the only goal of the game.

It will be their first FA Cup final for 52 years and an opportunity for them to end the 137-year wait to win the competition.

They now have the chance to win some silverware as well as make the top four in the league, which would round off a superb season for Brendan Rodgers’ team.

For Southampton, they now look to next season and the summer transfer window where they will start to rebuild and go again.

The cup final will be played on May 15 at Wembley.
