The Champions League is built for the elite to compete. The Parisians have been a strong force in European football for several years, but had never won the Champions League – even with Lionel Messi and Neymar in their ranks.
After being knocked out of at the semi-final stages by Borussia Dortmund in 2023-24, many ruled out PSG as contender last season – especially after losing Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid.
However, Luis Enrique’s side put on a memorable show throughout the tournament, which earned them a spot in the final against Inter Milan.
And what a final it was as PSG recorded a stunning 5-0 win – with star boy Desire Doue bagging a brace as the French giants claimed their first-ever Champions League title in style.

What a brilliant year Rory McIlroy has had with lots of success on the golf course – including completing the grand slam of majors by winning The Masters at last to go alongside his PGA Championship, The Open and US Open past successes.
However, the highlight of his year was the remarkable win at Augusta National, earning him the famous green jacket. Having come close to victory in 2022, then coming second to Scottie Scheffler, he finally won this illusive tournament by beating Justin Rose in a play-off hole.
Eubank vs Benn was last seen in the 1990s and was a brilliant British boxing rivalry that has since been reignited by their children. These modern-day battles were seen twice in 2025, with both at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The first fight dubbed ‘Fatal Fury’ was a close battle between the two. Just like the 90’s, the first fight was a victory for Team Eubank by unanimous decision – with all judges scoring 116-112.
November saw the rematch that fans hoped would be different from their fathers’ rematch that ended in a draw. Eubank Jr did not look like the fighter we saw in April with Benn dominating most of the rounds. In the final round Benn dropped Eubank twice, sealing a well-earned victory via unanimous decision 119–107, 116–110 and 118–108 on the judges’ scorecards.

The Red Roses dominated the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup. England were unstoppable in the tournament, winning all their matches on the way to victory. A mammoth 92-3 in the pool stages against Samoa helped England top their group, advancing them to the quarter-finals.
Two strong performances in the knockout stages landed the Red Roses a place in the final, where they faced Canada. Twickenham hosted the final, where England won 33-13 with fan favourite Ellie Kildunne scoring a sensational solo try.

Lando Norris won his first-ever F1 World Championship earlier this month, denying Max Verstappen the chance of winning his fifth in a row.
The Brit won seven races and finished on the podium 18 times on his way to claiming the title. His McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri seemed to be his only championship contender for much of the year, before Verstappen became the main threat with a very impressive second half of the season.
The title came down to the final race at Abu Dhabi, where all three people were still in contention. Verstappen did all he could, winning the race. However, a third-place finish for Norris was enough to deliver him his maiden championship.
