Unlike the Premier League, where television selections are announced several weeks in advance, LaLiga releases its schedule in stages throughout the season, with groups of matchdays confirmed roughly a month before they are played.
That means supporters travelling to see Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Athletic Club or any other side often have to wait before booking flights and accommodation with complete confidence.
The first kick-off times have already been released
LaLiga confirmed the exact dates and kick-off times for the opening three matchdays on 14 July 2026, just over a month before the new campaign begins. Because of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, four opening-weekend fixtures involving clubs with large numbers of international players were postponed and rescheduled later in August.
