1) Manchester City have an interesting proposition for Lionel Messi with the club being prepared to pay the Argentina forward £450m as part of a five-year plan that would see him end his career playing for New York City FC.

2) Tottenham tried to hijack Manchester United’s move for Dutch midfielder Donny van de Beek but it looks like United will get the Ajax player’s signature.

3) United are also believed to have held talks with Aston Villa relating to 24-year-old English playmaker Jack Grealish but so far there doe not look like the transfer will happen.

4) Leeds United still have plans to bring in more new players – the latest name connected is Udinese’s Argentina midfielder Rodrigo de Paul. There could be an issue over the fee as he is likely to cost £31m.

5) Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte wants to bring France midfielder N’Golo Kante to Italy in an attempt to help his team’s challenge for Serie A.

Meanwhile Emerson Palmieri‘s agent says the Italian team are interested in signing the 26-year-old Italy left-back.

6) Premier League duo Tottenham and Newcastle are interested in Bournemouth’s Norwegion forward Joshua King.

7) La Liga side Valencia have enquired about the availability of Arsenal’s French midfielder Matteo Guendouzi.

8) Barcelona and Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal is understood to be open to returning to Juventus.

If Barca want to cancel Luis Suarez‘s contract they must pay £12 million to the 33-year-old Uruguay forward.

9) Spain’s 25-year-old goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga wants to stay at Chelsea despite being linked with a move away from the London club.

10) Arsenal are planning to offer keeper Emiliano Martinez a new deal and if England full-back Ainsley Maitland-Niles stays at the club he will also be offered a new contract.
