POLL: Who will win this year’s RBS 6 Nations?

Rugby Union

This ‘Super Saturday’ sees the curtain draw a close once again on the RBS 6 Nations for another year.

Another great edition of this prestigious northern hemisphere tournament has seen some captivating rugby as England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales have drawn battle against one another.

However, the tantalising action hasn’t ended yet as the winner of this competition is still unknown.

In what is essentially a winner-takes-all-clash, the middle game of ‘Super Saturday’ will decide what side of the River Severn the trophy will be held for the next 12 months as Wales take on England.

Current defending Triple Crown and Grand Slam champions Wales are second in the table having won three of their four matches to date.

Only a win will suffice for the Red Dragons, as they are two points behind England and have an inferior points difference by 14.

Playing at home though in front of a passionate home support could be a key factor to spur them on to victory.

Above Wales, are England who are the only side unbeaten in the competition, having played four games and won four. If Stuart Lancaster’s side can defeat the Welsh in their own back yard, then they would have matched their opponent’s feats of 2012.

An enticing clash at the Millennium Stadium, we want to know who you think will be crowned the champions of this year’s tournament.

Will Wales defend their title in their own back yard or will England win their first Grand Slam in a decade?

Title Permutations

  • An England victory by any margin would secure a first GRAND SLAM triumph in a decade.
  • An England defeat by six points or fewer would be enough for ENGLAND TO WIN THE TITLE.
  • If England lose by seven points but outscore Wales by three tries or more, ENGLAND WIN THE TITLE.
  • A Wales victory by seven points or more, providing they stay ahead of England on tournament tries (7 to 5 so far), would see WALES RETAIN THE TITLE.
  • If Wales win by seven points but England score two more tries then the TITLE WOULD BE SHARED.

Venue: Millennium Stadium, Cardiff Date: Saturday 16th March Kick-off: 17:00 Coverage: BBC One
