TIBS EXCLUSIVE – Matt Le Tissier: “Arsenal can beat Chelsea with their firepower but will pay the price in Europe.”

Arsenal can beat Chelsea in Monday’s big London derby because they have got more power upfront.

The Gunners took a battering at Manchester City but they are better equipped to score more goals than the Blues.

It’s going to be a big ask for Arsenal and a lot of people have questioned whether they are capable of beating the top teams.

They have already suffered a defeat against Manchester United at Old Trafford and were hit for six by City at the Etihad.

But I still fancy them to win this game because their firepower is stronger than Chelsea’s.

Apart from that City result Arsenal have been pretty solid defensively and I don’t think Chelsea have enough about them upfront to win all three points.

Chelsea were my tip at the start of the season to win the Premier League but their star strikers are not functioning well enough.

I read the other day that Romelu Lukaku, who has been loaned out to West Brom and Everton, has scored more goals in the past year than the three Chelsea strikers put together.

If Chelsea want to win the league Jose Mourinho cannot allow that to happen.

They may also be a bit shell-shocked from that Capital One Cup defeat to Sunderland.

Arsenal may win on Monday but I cannot see them knocking holders Bayern Munich out of the European Champions League.

That is a tough tie for the Londoners because the Germans are sweeping all before them.

Arsenal are paying a price for not claiming top position in their qualifying group just like Man City who meet Barcelona.

I cannot believe City manager Manuel Pellegrini didn’t understand the rules on the night they beat Bayern Munich 3-2 in their final group match.

If they had got just one more goal they would have topped the group and would be playing someone else next instead.

However, I still fancy City to go through because this Barcelona side is not the same team of two years ago – and Lionel Messi has been out injured.

He may be back in time for the two legs but he won’t be as match sharp as he would have been if he had been playing regularly.

I actually think City, with their magnificent home record, have got a better chance of beating Barca than Arsenal have of beating Bayern.

Chelsea should go through comfortably against Galatasaray because their former player Didier Drogba is not the player he was a couple of years ago.

And Olympiakos is a great draw for Manchester United – the best of the lot I would say.
