Europa League draw 2026-27: Sunderland and Bournemouth both draw AC Milan, while Crystal Palace also learn their schedule

Sunderland and Bournemouth can both look forward to playing European giants AC Milan in the Europa League following the league phase draw.

Sunderland will travel to the seven-time European Cup holders in one of their eight league-phase matches.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth will host the Italian side in one of their four matches.

Sunderland, who will mark their first European campaign since 1973, will have home games against AZ Alkmaar, Dinamo Zagreb, Polish side Jagiellonia Bialystok as well as Bulgarian outfit Levski Sofia. They will travel to AC Milan, Anderlecht, Lech Poznan and Portuguese cup winners Torreense.

For Bournemouth, who have qualified for European football for the first time in their history, will host AC Milan, Hapoel Be’er Sheva, Sturm Graz and Viktoria Plzen. The Cherries will travel to Spain twice to face Celta Vigo and Real Sociedad and also go to Norwegian side Lillestrom and Sparta Prague.

Crystal Palace, who are also in the competition as Europa Conference League champions, have arguably the toughest set of fixtures out of the three English sides. They have home games against Hoffenheim, Lech Poznan Real Sociedad and Sparta Prague, while they will be travelling to Besiktas, Jagiellonia Bialystok, Lyon and Salzburg.

Elsewhere, Scottish giants Celtic – who failed to qualify for the Champions League after an embarrassing loss to LASK – will host Besiktas, Celta Vigo, Ferencvaros and Marseille. Martin O’Neill’s side will travel to Benfica, Cypriot side Omonia, Torreense and Union Saint-Gilloise.
