Liverpool have announced the signing of Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola in a £123million transfer.

The deal sees Liverpool pay the French giants an initial £106m with a further £17m in potential add-ons.

The 23-year-old’s arrival sees him become Liverpool’s and the Premier League’s second-most expensive signing in history after Alexander Isak who joined for £125m from Newcastle last summer.

He has signed a five-year contract and has outlined winning the Premier League with the Reds as one of his targets.

‘It took a long time but I’m really happy today to be able to play for Liverpool and all I want is to be on the pitch and be able to play,’ Barcola, who will wear the No 29, said.

‘I hope to achieve very big things. First of all, winning the Premier League – it’s one of my biggest dreams in my life.

‘It is to do that and to stay in this team in the long term – that’s why I signed a long contract – and I hope I can do it.’

Barcola, who scored 13 goals and provided seven assists in 49 games in all competitions for PSG last season, can play across the front but prefers to be stationed on the left wing.

He joined PSG from Lyon in 2023 for a £38.5m – winning a plethora of trophies at Parc de Princes, including the Champions League for a second time in May as well as the UEFA Super Cup earlier this month.
