Premier League players have been told they are able to to travel to red-list nations to represent their countries ahead of the next round of World Cup qualifiers but they must be fully vaccinated.

Players are requested to follow strict rules regarding bubbles, close contacts, testing and transport.

They will have to quarantine for the first 10 days when they return to England  but as part of the agreement they are allowed to leave quarantine once a day to play or train.

After a number of issues during the September international break when the Premier League decided not to release players which led to a clash with FIFA but this time the UK government has relaxed the Covid-19 regulations.

Two teams that did let their players travel were Aston Villa and Tottenham but it led to crazy scenes at the Brazil versus Argentina game.

The match was abandoned after five minutes when officials came onto the pitch to stop the game as they demanded Argentina’s four English-based players had to quarantine.

Officially anyone travelling from Brazil to the UK must quarantine for 14 days when they arrive.

There are eight Premier League players called up by Brazil including Manchester City duo Gabriel Jesus and Ederson.

It’s going to mean that players are away on international duty for 10-12 days following by the 10 days in quarantine it means they will be away from the families for 22 days.
