The Green Bay Packers will play a game in London this year, after the NFL revealed the International Series schedule ahead of the 2022 season.

Green Bay will play the New York Giants at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on October 9, a week after the Minnesota Vikings entertain the New Orleans Saints at the same venue.

The London games will conclude on October 30, when the Denver Broncos take on the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium.

NFL heading to Germany and Mexico too

With the NFL looking to expand the International Series, there will also be games played in both Germany and Mexico this year too.

The Seattle Seahawks will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Allianz Arena, home of Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, on November 13.

It will be the first ever NFL regular season game to take place in Germany, as the league continues to look to establish itself on a global level.

The final game of the 2022 International Series will take place on November 21, with the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers playing at Estadio Azteca in an NFC West match-up.

With the Packers coming to London in 2022, the NFC North champions become the last of the 32 teams in the league to play in the International Series.

Packers President & CEO Mark Murphy is enthusiastic about finally being able to see his team play in the International Series.

Speaking to Packers.com, he said: ‘This is something the league office has been talking to us for a long time about. We were the last team to play a game internationally.

‘The fans there are really going to relate well to the Packers organisation. It’s a great opportunity for NFL fans in Europe to become more familiar with the Packers and be more likely to come to Lambeau for a game in the future.

‘This is something I’ve heard from so many of our fans over the years, particularly those in Europe and particularly in London, “When are you gonna come? When are you gonna come?” We’re really excited to be playing in London.’
